Beyond the Stairs: What You’ll Find at DAE

If you’ve ever wandered through the Marjanishvili neighborhood in Tbilisi, you might have passed by a building that holds something a little magical on its third floor. Welcome to DAE - a space where art, furniture, and everyday beauty come together in a way that feels both fresh and nostalgic.

So, where exactly is DAE?

We’re located at 18 Kote Marjanishvili Street, on the third floor of an old building that might not look like much from the outside, but don’t let that fool you.

Take the stairs up (yes, there’s a bit of climbing involved), and you’ll find a cozy, light-filled space that’s home to:

- DAE, our art and design concept store

- The Cinematic Café, where films screen every week

- And a small photography studio used for creative shoots

Getting here is easy - just hop off at Marjanishvili metro station, and we’re a short walk away.

What’s inside?

The heart of the space is, of course, DAE - a place where old furniture finds a second life through art. We work closely with local and international illustrators to turn vintage chairs, tables and cabinets into something entirely new and personal.

Every piece is restored with care and finished with custom illustrations, so no two are ever the same. Some are soft and poetic, others bold and surreal - just like the artists behind them.

You’ll also find:

- Art posters featuring original illustrations

- Printed scarves and tablecloths you won’t see anywhere else

- Occasional exhibitions that change the space and tell new stories

We’re always working on something - new artist collaborations, one-off designs, or little creative surprises.

 Beyond DAE: Film & Photography

Right next door is the Cinematic Café, which shows films almost every evening, Tuesday through Saturday at 8 PM. 

We also have a photo studio, where we shoot some of our projects and team up with photographers. It's part of the behind-the-scenes magic that makes DAE feel alive.
