Description
Restored Vintage Armchair by DAE × Lea Woo
Flying Fish is part of DAE's restored furniture collection, where vintage furniture is reimagined through collaborations with contemporary artists.
Carefully restored by hand in our workshop, this vintage armchair preserves the beauty of its original wooden frame while introducing an entirely new identity. The upholstery features Lea Woo's original illustration "Flying Fish", transforming a classic piece of furniture into a collectible design object.
Inspired by the quiet elegance of traditional East Asian painting, the artwork depicts a serene figure surrounded by a school of flying fish – a symbol of freedom, movement and imagination. The soft green palette and delicate composition create a calm presence while making the chair a distinctive statement piece.
Only two armchairs have been created using this exclusive design and the artwork will never be reproduced on furniture again. Once these pieces are sold, this edition will be permanently discontinued.
At DAE, we believe restoration is about preserving craftsmanship while creating something entirely new. Every piece carries the history of vintage furniture and the vision of a contemporary artist, resulting in furniture made to be collected and lived with.
