Restored Vintage Armchair by DAE × Oliko Tkebuchava

After Hours is part of DAE’s restored furniture collection, where vintage forms are reimagined through contemporary illustration and design.

Carefully restored by hand, the armchair preserves the character of its original wooden frame while taking on an entirely new visual identity. The upholstery features an illustration by Georgian artist Oliko Tkebuchava, paired with a bold graphic pattern designed by the DAE team.

The illustration captures a quiet, slightly mysterious moment - an empty chair, a coat and a bottle against a deep blue background. It feels like the scene just after someone has left, giving the piece its name, After Hours.

A red and blue checkerboard pattern extends across the seat and back of the chair, bringing a contemporary rhythm to its classic vintage silhouette. Designed by DAE, the graphic element connects Oliko’s illustration with the form of the furniture and gives the piece its distinctive character.

The result is a bold accent piece where vintage craftsmanship, contemporary Georgian illustration and DAE’s design language meet.

Oliko Tkebuchava is a Georgian artist and illustrator whose work is defined by minimal forms, expressive lines and a distinctive visual language. Her compositions often transform familiar objects and everyday moments into playful, quietly narrative scenes.

Through her collaboration with DAE, illustration moves beyond the page and becomes part of functional objects and contemporary interiors.
