Behind the Frame – Mariam Davituri’s Exhibition at DAE
From May 16 to 19, DAE hosted a captivating exhibition of photographs by Mariam Davituri. These days were filled not only with visual impressions but also with silent stories – the kind of stories only Mariam’s lens can see and feel.
Blackbird is a young photographer for whom visual art carries deep meaning and weight. For her, photography is a way to pause the everyday and truly observe.
Her works stand out for their sensitivity to natural light and shadow, a warm color palette, and a quiet melancholy. Her photos often feature half-empty rooms, people seen from afar, and intimate details – moments that seem to become memories the very instant you witness them.
The Exhibition
The exhibition presented a selection of Mariam’s works from the past few years. Visitors were invited into a world where colors hold meaning and silence tells a story.
The space underwent a quiet metamorphosis, temporarily transforming into a series of soft, warm frames.
Blackbird is a calm yet powerful voice in contemporary Georgian photography.
